O.P.I ProSpa Pedicures
The word “Pedicure” is derived from the Latin words pedis and cura, which means “of the foot” and “care”, which is exactly what we here at Tipz n Toez will do for you. Your feet bear the weight of everyday life, give them a well deserved treat and “take the weight off” for a pamper session. Treat your feet to some relaxation in a scented, warm bubble foot spa with built in back massagers and follow with your choice of pedicure from the list below.
With each season, holiday or party, there is always an excuse for one of our O.P.I ProSpa Pedicures that will soften and nourish your feet and nails ready for your favourite flip flops or party shoes.
We use the award winning O.P.I ProSpa products for all our Manicures and Pedicures, developed with renowned dermatologists, featuring a proprietary blend of cupuacu butter and white tea extracts plus peptides, to take the skin to the next level having been inspired by facial skin care. Our range of treatments start from the O.P.I ProSpa Express Pedicure to the O.P.I ProSpa Signature Pedicure and O.P.I ProSpa Pamper Pedicure, each of our treatments are tailored to each individual client needs.
Whether it be a special occasion, party, wedding or general night out one of our Pedicures will be just the treatment to add the finishing touches to getting ready, and why not get your fingernails painted the same colour at the same time. Although it doesn’t have to be a special occasion to have a treat, well maintained feet look and feel just as good in slippers!
Some of our clients find that their big toe nails are sometimes misshaped with a corner missing or the nail broken low, this can be resolved easily by adding a Natural Nail Acrylic or SNS Gelish Dip Wrap Repair to build the nail up to the desired shape, and once painted you would never be able to tell the difference as the wrap blends seamlessly to the nail giving an overall natural appearance.
MEN; Its a misconception that pedicures are just for the ladies, Tipz n Toez have a healthy clientele of men that have pedicures to soften that rough skin, relax and refresh, so whether your a commuter, labourer or sporty man, your feet still deserve to be well maintained on a regular basis.
O.P.I ProSpa Express Pedicure
For the express pedicure we start by appling the O.P.I ProSpa Nail and Cuticle Oil to each cuticle to soak in then we file the natural nails into the desired shape and length, once this has been completed on both feet the cuticles are pushed back and excess is removed. You choose from our range of O.P.I polishes or you could upgrade to choose from over 250 colours in our O.P.I Gel Colour range (testers painted on palettes for your convenience) 2 coats of the chosen polish plus a topcoat is applied. If you choose normal polish drying time is required for up to 20 Min’s to be safe from smudging and flip flops are the best footwear for after the treatment, where as O.P.I Gel Colour polish will be dry instantly as it is cured with LED light boxes allowing you to put closed in shoes/boots straight back on.
The express pedicure is designed for an appointment between regular signature and pamper spa pedicures for generally well maintained feet and does not include the use of our Spa Pedicure chairs.

O.P.I ProSpa Signature Pedicure
Performed in our state of the art Spa Pedicure Chair, complete with built in back massagers and Jacuzzi style jets in the foot basin. (chair also moves forward, back, down and up for your ultimate comfort)
Firstly cuticle oil is applied to the cuticle area and feet are submerged into warm water within the pedicure spa basin filled with essential oils and jets to massage the feet this all helps to soften the cuticles, then one foot at a time the cuticles are pushed back and excess is removed if needed. The natural nail is filed into shape, then each foot in turn is exfoliated with O.P.I ProSpa Exfoliating Sugar Scrub to remove any dead skin before the O.P.I ProSpa Advanced Callous Softening Gel is applied. The O.P.I Callous Softener is applied over very dry skin areas and left to process for 5 mins, once this process is complete excess O.P.I ProSpa Callous Softner is wiped off and a complimentary pumi bar is rubbed back and forth over each foot to remove more dead skin. (We use a NEW pumi bar on each client which is available for you to take home after the treatment for you to use at home) You choose from our range of O.P.I polishes or you could upgrade to choose from over 250 colours in our O.P.I Gel Colour range (testers painted on palettes for your convenience) 2 coats of the chosen polish plus a topcoat is applied. If you choose normal O.P.I polish drying time is required for up to 20 Min’s to be safe from smudging and flip flops are the best footwear for after the treatment, where as O.P.I Gel Colour polish will be dry instantly as it is cured with LED light boxes allowing you to put closed in shoes/boots straight back on. We then finish with a deep massage of the foot, ankle and lower leg using O.P.I ProSpa Moisture Whip Massage Cream, this is performed with no less than 3 massage techniques. Once this has been completed a light spritz of O.P.I ProSpa Moisture Bonding Ceramide Spray will be sprayed over both feet and legs.
Pedicures are recommended at least 4 – 6 weeks apart, however during summer months when flip flops are the choice of footwear, dry skin builds up faster so you may find that a pedicure is needed sooner, within both our salons we sell all the O.P.I ProSpa products to help with the in between time of appointments so that you get the maximum benefits of our O.P.I ProSpa Pedicures lasting longer.

The O.P.I ProSpa Pamper Pedicure consists of everything above in the O.P.I ProSpa Signature Pedicure but with the added treatment of the O.P.I ProSpa Soothing Moisture Mask and an extra scrub within this luxury routine.

Paraffin Wax for Feet
Paraffin wax can be performed as a stand alone treatment or an add on to many treatments, however it is usually best to exfoliate the feet first to remove dead skin which one of our pedicures above will take care of. The treatment consists of applying moisturiser all over each foot then dipping the whole of each foot three times into the wax consecutively. The warm wax opens the pores and pushes the moisturiser deep into the skins layers which takes 10-15 Min’s. Once this process is complete the paraffin mask is removed and any excess moisturiser is massaged into the feet using a minimum of 3 massage techniques.
This treatment is ideal all year round due to skin drying out and becoming chapped etc.. especially during the summer months where wearing flip flops also drys the skin of the feet out usually leading to cracked heels etc…
It is recommended to have a paraffin wax treatment every 4-6 weeks to keep the feet hydrated and soft and the dry skin away.

Paraffin Wax Explained
Paraffin wax has superb softening properties leaving the skin exquisitely soft. It has a diuretic effect therefore helping to eliminate waste products from the skin. Excellent for clients with arthritic problems, as it helps to ease joint stiffness and pain, whilst increasing circulation. Paraffin wax also relaxes aching muscles and is ideal for dry skin conditions, as it allows the moisturisers to nourish deeper into the skins layers with the aid of heat instead of sitting on the surface like most hand creams do when applied.
