PolyGel Nails
Our hands do a lot for us; they allow us to touch, to feel, to grasp, to hold, to manipulate, and ultimately they help us to express ourselves. Even as we talk our hands assist us in conveying our message more clearly from the way we move them as we speak, therefore the appearance of our hands and fingernails are in constant view and are noticed more frequently if they are both well maintained and looking good.
Whether on a conscious or subconscious level, hands are one of the first things we notice when we meet someone. From the ancient ritual of handshaking which we continue today, through to greeting someone with a wave – our hands and the way we use and move them offer a window into who we are as people. With this in mind, it is easy to understand why our nails too have always formed such an important part of the grooming ritual. From the ancient times when long nails signified status, through to today where a good manicure is an indication that you take pride in your appearance.
Here at Tipz n Toez we now use PolyGel which is a new system that is lighter and stronger.
It’s not an acrylic or a hard gel, it combines the best of both in a revolutionary all-in-one system that’s undeniably better!
The PolyGel formula uses tripolymer technology, that provides both versatility and consistency, allowing us to create flawless nail enhancements for you, these can be extensions and wraps.
Newest of PolyGel Extensions
This treatment consists of pushing cuticles back (nipping if necessary), filing over the natural nail then applying a plastic tip to extend to required length. The PolyGel is then applied from the tip to base of the nail and the whole extension is filed into desired shape. You can choose from our range of O.P.I Normal Nail polishes or you could upgrade to choose from over 250 colours in our O.P.I Gel Colour range (testers painted on palettes for your convenience) 2 coats of the chosen polish and a topcoat are then applied. If you choose normal polish drying time is required for up to 20 mins to be safe from smudging, where as Gel polish will be dry instantly as it is cured with LED light boxes.
In-fills are required every 2-4 weeks (see in-fill section below)

Newest of PolyGel WrapsThis treatment consists pushing the cuticles back (nipping if necessary), filing over the nail bed then applying the PolyGel directly to the natural nail from tip to base. If some nails are shorter than others the technicians can build the nails up using free-forms (a way to increase length without the aid of a plastic tip), likewise if all the natural nails require added length this method would be used on all 10 fingers providing there is at least a millimeter of free edge to get the free-forms under and would occur an additional cost. The PolyGel wrap is then filed and shaped to desired length and shape. You can choose from our range of O.P.I Normal Nail polishes or you could upgrade to choose from over 250 colours in our O.P.I Gel Colour range (testers painted on palettes for your convenience) 2 coats of the chosen polish and a topcoat are then applied. Infills on PolyGel Extensions or Wraps
This treatment usually happens around 2-4 weeks after the initial new set of PolyGel Nail Extensions or Wraps and every 2-4 weeks thereafter. Exactly the same process happens with the filing over the whole nail, addingPolyGel to the base where the natural nail has grown out then refiling, shaping and buffing as required. You can choose from our range of O.P.I Normal Nail polishes or you could upgrade to choose from over 250 colours in our O.P.I Gel Colour range (testers painted on palettes for your convenience) 2 coats of the chosen polish and a topcoat are then applied. If you choose normal polish drying time is required for up to 20 mins to be safe from smudging, where as Gel polish will be dry instantly as it is cured with LED light boxes.
