SNS Gelish Dip Nails

With this in mind, it is easy to understand why our nails too have always formed such an important part of the grooming ritual. From the ancient times when long nails signified status, through to today where a good manicure is an indication that you take pride in your appearance.
All treatments are carried out by professional nail technicians to either add length and enhance the visual appearance of your nails with extensions or to encourage natural nails to grow with a natural acrylic wrap overlay.
SNS Gelish Dip Nail Extensions
This treatment consists of pushing cuticles back (nipping if necessary), filing over natural nail then applying a plastic tip to extend to required length, then then nails are dipped in SNS Gelish powder that is applied from tip to base of nail and the whole extension is filed and shaped to required shape, buffed. You can choose from our range of O.P.I Normal Nail polishes or you could upgrade to choose from over 250 colours in our O.P.I Gel Colour range (testers painted on palettes for your convenience) 2 coats of the chosen polish and a topcoat are then applied. If you choose normal polish drying time is required for up to 20 mins to be safe from smudging, where as Gel polish will be dry instantly as it is cured with LED light boxes.
Re-fills are required every 2-4 weeks (see below)

Natural Nail Wraps
This treatment consists pushing the cuticles back (nipping if necessary),filing over the nail bed then applying the SNS Gelish Dip directly to the natural nail from tip to base, allowing the whole nail to breath with SNS being 100% porous. If some nails are shorter than others they can be built up using free-forms (a way to increase length without the aid of a plastic tip), likewise if all the natural nails require added length this method would be used on all 10 fingers providing there is at least a millimeter of free edge to get the free-forms under. The SNS Gelish Dip wrap is then filed and shaped to required length and shape, buffed. You can choose from our range of O.P.I Normal Nail polishes or you could upgrade to choose from over 250 colours in our O.P.I Gel Colour range (testers painted on palettes for your convenience) 2 coats of the chosen polish and a topcoat are then applied. If you choose normal polish drying time is required for up to 20 mins to be safe from smudging, where as Gel polish will be dry instantly as it is cured with LED light boxes.

SNS Gelish Dip Re-Fills
This treatment usually happens around 2-4 weeks after the initial new set of extensions or wraps and every 2-4 weeks thereafter. Exactly the same process happens with the filing over the whole nail, adding SNS Gelish Dip to the base where the natural nail has grown out then refiling, shaping and buffing as required. You can choose from our range of O.P.I Normal Nail polishes or you could upgrade to choose from over 250 colours in our O.P.I Gel Colour range (testers painted on palettes for your convenience) 2 coats of the chosen polish and a topcoat are then applied. If you choose normal polish drying time is required for up to 20 mins to be safe from smudging, where as Gel polish will be dry instantly as it is cured with LED light boxes.

Soak off of SNS Gelish Dip Wraps or SNS Gelish Dip Nail Extensions
The best way for removing SNS Gelish Dip is soaking your fingers in acetone. The acetone melts the acrylic and with buffing every 10 Min’s the layers flake off. It is essential that if you have SNS Gelish Dip extensions or wraps, you remove them this way to prevent damage to the natural nail underneath because if the acrylic is picked off, layers of the nail are removed also causing the natural nail to become weak and bend easily until this part of the nail has grown out.
It is also recommended to refresh SNS Gelish Dip every 2-3 months to prevent it becoming brittle and because it is 100% porous there is no need to have a rest period in between soaking off and applying new SNS Gelish Dip therefore you can have a soak and new set of extensions or wraps in one treatment where the soak off cost is waived and you pay for just the new set of extensions or wraps.
If you are just having the extensions for a special occasion and need them soaked off after, the treatment time is usually around 30 Min’s and after all the SNS Gelish Dip has been removed a nail strengthener is applied, it is recommended that every other day you also apply a nail strengthener.

Nail Art
Nail art can be an upgrade to most treatments throughout the Nail section as its quick and all done by freehand and completed at the stage of painting before the top coat is applied. You can have all 10 nails painted with the same design or all totally different or if you don’t want all 10 fingers painted with nail art why not try it just on the ring fingers on each hand, for examples of nail art we have painted on clients have a scroll through our gallery.
